Dental Surgery: Extractions
An extraction is sometimes unavoidable especially if the tooth is too damaged and/or infected. We consider this the last choice of treatment, as our primary goal is to prevent tooth loss and maintain dental health. When we extract a tooth, we aim to preserve as much of the surrounding bone as possible to prevent unsightly healing, enabling a good aesthetic result when restoring the missing tooth. Please consult with Dr. Chan if you have any dental anxiety and if oral sedation may be an option for you during surgery.
Dental Surgery: Implants
Dental implants are a popular and effective way to replace missing teeth and are designed to blend in with your natural teeth. They are an excellent long-term option for restoring your smile. Dental implants are made up of titanium or other materials that are compatible with the human body. They are posts that are surgically placed in the upper or lower jaw, where they function as a sturdy anchor for replacement teeth. The implant process may take up to a year to complete, but its a great long-term investment with a very high success rate.
